New Jersey Licensed Tree Expert | #604

  • Competency: LTEs have demonstrated their knowledge and skills through rigorous testing by the New Jersey Board of Tree Experts. This ensures LTEs have a solid understanding of tree care practices 

  • Science and Art: This highlights that tree care is not just about cutting down trees. It involves a deep understanding of tree biology, diseases, pests and how trees interact with their environment. It also requires practical skills and experience in pruning, treating and maintaining trees. 

  • Diagnosing, Treating, and Preventing: LTEs are qualified to assess tree health, identify problems (diseases, pests, structural issues), and recommend appropriate treatments or preventative measures. 

ISA (International Society of Arborists) Certified Arborist | NJ1054A

  • Purpose: Becoming an ISA Certified Arborist is a voluntary process through which individuals can measure their knowledge and competence required to provide proper tree care. ISA Certification is not government-sponsored or government-endorsed.  It is administered by the International Society of Arboriculture as a way for tree care professionals to demonstrate their commitment to the profession and the industry. 

  • Benefits: ISA Certified Arborists possess a comprehensive understanding of tree biology, physiology and care. They are trained in the latest techniques and best practices for tree management. 

     ISA TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification)

  • Purpose: This qualification promotes the safety of people and property by providing a standardized and systematic process for assessing tree risk. 

  • Benefit: Professionals with the TRAQ qualification are recognized as having specialized knowledge in tree risk assessment.
